Arctic Monkeys postpone Saturday's Sheffield concert

Announcement follows postponed shows in Birmingham and Glasgow

Arctic Monkeys have postponed their scheduled show in Sheffield on Saturday. It will now take place on November 18.

A statement from the band reads: "We regret to advise that Arctic Monkeys must postpone their show at Sheffield Arena on Saturday November 2nd. Regrettably Alex Turner is suffering with laryngitis and is not well enough to perform. The show at Sheffield Arena will now take place on Monday November 18 2013. All tickets will remain valid for this show."

"We wish to apologise to all ticket holders for any inconvenience this has caused. Please contact the customer services at the box office you purchased your tickets for any further assistance."

Arctic Monkeys already postponed their Glasgow Hydro show, which was set for tonight (Friday November 1), and their show in Birmingham, which was supposed to take place on the evening of October 31. The Birmingham LG Arena gig will now take place on November 20 and the Glasgow Hydro show on November 21.

Arctic Monkeys will play:

Sheffield Motorpoint Arena (November 18)
Birmingham LG Arena (20)
Glasgow Hydro Arena (21)
