Liam Gallagher tells fans not to buy 'Definitely Maybe' reissue

Former Oasis singer also commented on split from management company and brother Noel

Liam Gallagher has urged Oasis fans not to buy the forthcoming reissue of the band's debut album 'Definitely Maybe'.

Writing on Twitter on Friday [Feb 28] evening, he said: "HOW CAN YOU REMASTER SOMETHING THATS ALREADY BEING MASTERED.DONT BUY INTO IT.LET IT BE LG X"

It was announced on Wednesday (February 26) that the album would be reissued to mark its 20th anniversary in May, and will include rare and unreleased recordings. The reissue is the first in the new Chasing The Sun series from Big Brother Recordings, with Oasis's follow-up albums 'What's The Story (Morning Glory)?' and 'Be Here Now' to be reissued later in the year.

Gallagher also used his Twitter to address the issue regarding he and the rest of Beady Eye parting company with his management company Quest and manager Scott Rodger, and took the time to have a dig at older brother Noel who, prior to joining Oasis was a roadie with Inspiral Carpets. In a statement given to NME regarding the split, Rodger, who also represents Arcade Fire and Paul McCartney, said: "Beady Eye are one of the last great British rock bands. It has been a pleasure to have worked with them on this album campaign. They are in complete control of their future as a band with many exciting new projects on the horizon. We've just about reached the end of the 'BE' album cycle and it's the right time for the band to make a change. Our paths will cross again in the future I'm sure. I wish them continued success in everything they do."

The 20th anniversary edition of 'Definitely Maybe' will be available as a standard CD and digital download of the original album, a three-disc Special Edition version including the rare recordings and demos, a 12" vinyl LP featuring all the bonus CD content as a free download, and a Deluxe Box Set which features the LP and the CDs. It has also been revealed that the band will re-issue their single 'Supersonic' as a 12" vinyl to coincide with this year's Record Store Day on April 19.

"Some Girls" reissue to include unreleased track (Reuters)

NEW YORK (Reuters) – An upcoming reissue of the classic Rolling Stones album "Some Girls" will include a recently discovered track which will also be released as a single.

"No Spare Parts," which was recorded in Paris and was recently discovered by producer Don Was for inclusion on the new editions of "Some Girls" due out on November 21, tells the story of a trip from Los Angeles to San Antonio.

It features Mick Jagger on electric piano, Keith Richards on acoustic piano, Ron Wood on pedal steel guitar, Charlie Watts on drums and Bill Wyman on bass, Universal Republic Records said Thursday.

The label said the song, first recorded by Chris Kimsey in early 1978, features a "country guitar twang, subtle groove and soulful storytelling," describing it as "a powerful and poignant acoustic tune."

"Some Girls," a 1978 release that featured "Miss You" and "Beast of Burden," went a long way toward reestablishing

the Stones' then-flagging youthful appeal. It reached No. 1 on the U.S. charts and No. 2 in the United Kingdom.

"No Spare Parts" is slated for a world premiere on October 20 on the "Ken Bruce" show on BBC Radio 2, and will be available the same day on U.S. platforms beginning at 10 a.m.
