Tinie Tempah given marriage advice by Lionel Richie

Rapper also revealed that U2's Bono invited him for dinner

Tinie Tempah has revealed that he was given marriage advice by Lionel Richie.

Quizzed by GQ about his best 'guy tip', the 'Pass Out' rapper said he was told by Richie to "never get married" after his own two failed marriages, to Brenda Harvey and, most recently, Diana Alexander.

Tempah also touched on some of the craziest celebrity moments he's encountered since his debut album 'Disc-Overy' made it to Number One in the Official UK Albums Chart in 2011, including being invited over to dinner with U2's Bono.

He said: "Bono called me one time about a dinner he was having that he wanted me to attend, we spoke for about 20 minutes and he said he was really impressed that I was already doing venues like the O2 in London. I was so nervous!"

Meanwhile, Tinie Tempah has also recently revealed that Adele recorded a "filthy" rap while he was working in the studio with Labrinth a couple of years ago. The singer apparently showed off her flow while Tempah and Labrinth were recording 'Earthquake', their Number Two hit single from 2011.

"She was with me and Labrinth in the studio when he recorded 'Earthquake'," Tempah recalled during an interview on Alan Carr: Chatty Man on Friday (November 1). "Nobody really knows this. She recorded a rap and she told us that if we ever played it to anyone she would sue us. So when you talk to her next, ask her about the rap. It is really filthy as well."

Tempah also revealed that Adele "helped me pick some of the songs" for new album 'Demonstration', which is released this Monday (November 4). The album, Tempah's follow-up to his 2010 debut 'Disc-Overy', features guest appearances from 2 Chainz, Big Sean, Labrinth, Laura Mvula and Emeli Sandé.

The rapper will support the album with an 11-date UK arena tour this December (2013), culminating in a massive show at London's O2 Arena on December 18.

Tinie Tempah will play:

Aberdeen AECC (December 2)
Manchester Phones 4u Arena (5)
